The Christmas giving season was recently kicked off in a big way at Marcus Lumber with
their announcement of two lucky $500 shopping spree winners. Julie Ballard and Jim Thatcher, both local area residents, were selected from the hundreds of names entered at Marcus Lumber from September until November. The Grand Prize giveaway was kicked off during the Marcus Lumber Ladies Design Night Out event where Julie Ballard was taking part and then entered her name. Julie lives in Marcus and has already had her eyes on a new storm door to match one she bought last year for part of her winnings.
Jim Thatcher’s name was drawn in November and he could hardly believe his luck as well. in fact, Jim said, “You’re kidding me? No way!” upon getting the celebratory phone call. Jim plans to use his winnings towards the many home improvement projects he and his wife have planned for the new home they recently bought in Meriden. “The timing of winning was perfect”, added Jim.
Grant Leavitt of Marcus Lumber said “We are delighted to provide two of our customers with the opportunity to make their home improvement projects a little more exciting. And we are only able to do this giveway because of all the loyal local support we get from customers like these. It is especially fun to spread a little more cheer and joy around this time of year.”
Marcus Lumber has been proud give back to its local customers with this shopping spree give-away for the last several years.
