Thursday, January 04, 2024

Press Release[supplied -Little Royals Daycare] – Date 12/22/2023

There has been a flurry of activity at the site of the Little Royals Daycare over the past few months in preparation of opening day.  The Little Royals Daycare is excited to announce the formal approval of permission to open the center on January 8, 2024.  A site visit with regulators took place and determined that the center has met all criteria, granting permission to operate the center with a capacity of over 100 children!

Morgan TenNapel, Director of the Little Royals Daycare, has been assembling a team of staff members.  Currently 8 staff members have been hired with additional interviews on the way.  TenNapel credits having a new state of the art center and competitive pay as drivers that have been key to the success of attracting great people to join the staff.

The Little Royals Daycare was made possible by a school bond of the MMC district.  The center is owned by the school and will be leased to the non-profit 501c(3) operational entity Little Royals Daycare, Inc.  The daycare board members have received advice and assistance from a similar non-profit group in George, IA.  It was at their strong recommendation to help with the first few year’s operational costs that the Little Royals Daycare has sought Founding Business Partners.

Marcus Lumber Company, is of the Gold level Founding Business Partners who have graciously pledged to donate $10,000 each over the next 5 years.  On behalf of the daycare board and everyone in our communities who has helped this project succeed, we give a large collective “thank you” to these businesses for their support!

The Little Royals Daycare is open to parents of all neighboring towns and communities.  For child care inquiries or employment inquiries, please contact the MMCRU elementary school at 712-376-2615.  For anyone wishing to support this project as a partner, please inquire with Darrell Downs at Marcus City Hall.
